Really good field at the TPC courses in Las Colinas.

Tiger is pretty tough- course(s) is pretty wide open so he can hit it everywhere.

Intrigued with Jim Furyks form right now- he has played well here in the past.

I am going to take some longshots in the markets w/o Woods et al- probably take the Dallas guys like Justin Leonard and Harrison Frazar.

I don't think Verplank will win but will be interested to see who he's matched with. Top 15 is very possible for him.

Garcia should go well if not mentally scarred from last week but I'm not touching Woods until he shows some signs he can drive it straight.

I've just been looking for Verplank match ups & nothing great sticks out but Garcia over Donald at +103 (Pinny) looks value to me.

Anybody see these Top 10 finish odds at Betoddessa. These are very interesting. Vijay is -220 which I though was a lock until I did some research and he finished 59th here last year and he does finish out of the top 10 on occassion.

I think these are pretty interesting.

Main plays and am playing these at golfinggods.com and w/o Big 4 market because I am a chicken shit.

Goosen 10/1 each way
Furyk 15/1 each way

Lunch money plays

Bart Bryant 101/1
Harrison Frazar 176/1

One match up Garcia -139 over Chad Campbell.

I kind of think Tiger rips this one up. Just seems like a good spot for him and plus he can hit it everywhere and still score. Might look to play him against Vijay somewhere if reasonable.

Buzz,
I don't use BetOddessa but they seem to be linked to WagerWeb (which I do use ) since both offer the same props and offerings. I did notice the T10 odds this week and I really like that option a lot. I like T4/T5 place much better than outrights and T10 over place because I think it is easier to find value in them outside the chalk. Most futures bettors would do much better using these options rather than shooting for the big score every week and coming up empty 96% of the time. SIA has offered T10 this year on a few tourneys but it is sporadic.

Though I am leery, as Cink is a solid player and coming off a break he may be raring to go, I do like Verplank-105vCink a little because Cink has not fared well here in his 3 shots with 2 MCs and a 48 and obviously doesn't love the course as he hasn't played here since 2000 - and he had not been sharp before his break. While Verplank has been pretty solid in his last 4 starts and has T4 finishes here in 2 out of his last 4 tries. Worth a small play at -105 IMO.

buckeye- Oddessa is powered by CBS, the poster rpmmcmurphy aka Originator does their golf stuff and he is really sharp.

I bet each way's every week and like you mentioned you get squeezed out pretty easily when the top 4 are playing. Top 10 plays seem like a good deal.

I think Cink is a very good play.

For the first time this year, I'm not picking an outright to start this tourney. I'm tired of being out of it after the first round. I think I'll get someone at WSEX after Thursday, someone who has a chance.

The two courses they use for this tournament are refitted and cut down to par 71 and 70. More trees and 2/3 less bunkers make these tracks better for the hitters. It CAN and WILL get windy, if anything like in the past. Mick and Vijay strike well in the wind, Tiger not so much. Ernie hates it.

This is the most attended event every year. 270,000 fans show up over the four days. They love their hometown boys. All Texans for that matter. Root loud and long, and have been known to boo rivals. The crowd may give any cowboy and extra half shot, good to know for the M/U's.

Price over Kelly -120
Herron over Kelly -102 I see a trend here.
Pampling over Howell3 -105 It's Pamps turn, you know?

All Pinny, all bet Tues. night. Good luck my co-conspiritors.

Whoops Buzz, I guess I wasn't too clear. My play is VERPLANK-105 over Cink, so I am fading Cink not backing him. I only mentioned his coming off a break as a reason to temper the play a bit and not hit it heavy. I played it last night and see that it is at -115 or higher today at most outs.

As for rpmcmurphy or originator or whatever that is interesting. Wish they would change to reasonable 20 cent lines instead of 30. But they have enuff props that I find some value anyway!

Toto- good to hear from you will try to call this weekend.

I don't know what to make about Tigers missed cut, he was due. On these golf course just amazed he doesn't play better. I hate to say it means something but it does, will he be able to win the U.S. Open in a month?? It may raise some question but I lean to it not being a factor.

Wild off the tee, and wild with his approach shots equals no, I mean NO chance at the US Open.
