Great field this week.

Don't see Mickelson because he won't like the greens. I am looking at Padraig Harrington.

My prediction is Tiger and Vijay come down to the wire in this one- with Mickelson in top 10.

Good field this week because they've all been paid a fortune to appear in the Pro-Am!! But can't complain when it makes a good golf tourny.

So much for appearance fees for tournaments....give them the money for the Wednesday and sure they may as well hang around for the main event on the Thursday while their in the area

Just played these at golfinggods.com

Harrington 41/1
Kevin Na 81/1
Davis Love 28/1
Scott Hoch 151/1
Todd Hamilton 201/1
Jesper Parnevik 151/1

Didn't bet the house just enough to have a little action.

My outrights I am going with are:

Scott 20/1
Love 25/1
Clark 52/1
Choi 58/1

---------------------------------------------

Also think about following Buzz on Harrington but want at least 40/1....

Picks so far---

Choi to win, 51-1, my main pick.
Singh to win 11.18, strictly value, seems way high for Vijay.

Choi finishes 29th or better 1.83
Verplank finishes 29th or better 1.83

Choi over Cabrera 1.775
Garcia over Scott 2.05
Love over Weir 1.847
Choi over Maruyama 1.80
Perry over Lonard 1.90 tie loses this one

Jimenez to win in Dubai 15.14

I need to hit one of my outrights, down 465.92 YTD. Almost, if not all, on outright betting. Holding even for the m/u's. Good week for me last week. Lost the small bets, won the 2 unit bets.

I very seldom bet anyone under 15-1, so I am always taking stabs. But I do like Singh in this one. Also just a smidge on Clark & DL3

Didn't get to look at this too closely yet guys so won't post all my outrights until tomorrow.

But did take:

Paddy Harrington @ 44's (Betfair)

Sergio Garcia @ 40's (Betfair)

Seems to be some big anti-Tiger sentiment out there this week!

The "pseudo appearance fees" were paid for a Monday Outing not for the PRO-AM as that would be against the PGA Tour rules. Many players get money for Monday outings - which is why they hate rain-extended tourneys as they have to renege on them. Ford was just "inventive" enough to have theirs the same week, and same city, as their tourney and pay $150K each to some big names NOT UNDER FORD contract already so that they would induce a bigger name field. Tiger and Phil were already obligated for Monday due to their bigger endorsement deals - from what I read.

I like tommyjay's Choi and Verplank plays as I was already on all of them as well!

Are the greens why Phil has never finished higher than 20th here in 4 tries?

buckeye- I think so on Mickelson. I think he hates Bermuda greens, even though he shot like 59 on them in Hawaii in the Grand Slam.

Good to see you post, thanks.

peace,
I think Tiger played in a different outing on Monday for Buick, though still in the Doral area - should have clarified that! I read about it Monday but can't remember where. Maybe they had dualing outings for hype!

dangeris, check out Stanley's tour-tips.com sight which lists all matchups for a number of books ( I dubbed it the Don Best of golf a few years back LOL ). I think you have to be a member to get access to that list though, but if you are serious at the least about golf wagering it is well worth joining IMO.

Buzz, thanks that makes sense as Phil doesn't play well in FLA and their tourneys are predominantly on Bermuda. Too bad John "bermuda man" Huston is washed up now as he used to be a good choice on Bermuda Greens.
