Default 4th and Final---The Tour Championship

Par 70 and shot greens. Atlanta has had hot weather and no rain, so the greens are brownish and rough. What the hell? So what. Ever heard of water? Las Vegas, Phoenix, and So. Calif. must have dirt for greens, right?

I have a new angle for this week only. The fatigue factor. This week is the fourth tournament in a row, and 6th in the last 7, for 20 of the 30 entries. That's a lot of golf for 7 weeks. Other than Vijay, I don't think anyone has ever done that, ever. Age and conditioning rule for this week. If John Daly were in it, he would be so far out of it....

There is no need factor this week. All the players have a tour card for next year, and plenty of money. They're playing for, for what, the bullshit FedEx Cup deal? Nah, no way. Because the commish wants them to? Maybe. The Tour Champ. title? No. Mick and Tiger skipped it last year.

Handicapping this week was done by age first, recent form, and proximity to the pins. That's it, that's all. Putting is out, everyone is even on these greens. Par 5's, out, there's only 2. Hometown deal, nah, too late in the year.

There are 9 guys in their 20's, 5 in their 40's, and 16 in their 30's. 20's positive, 30's nuetral, 40's negative. That's simple.

I'm going with Rose again. Call me crazy, he's never won a PGA event. But hell, he's 25 years old and has great recent form. But Badds at 26, is just as good. And he's won before. Garcia at 27, has been quiet lately, but he can roll at any time. Scott, 27, is defending champ, and recently great. So why Rose? I just want him that's all.

What about Tiger? What about him? He's always the main man. But. He's tired, he's pissed, he doesn't dominate par 70 layouts. He's still the favorite, but I never bet on Tiger. Might as well just bet my money on baseball, it pays the same.

Good guys list---
Rose 25 YO
Scott 27
Baddelley 26
Snedeker 27

Fade list---
Singh 44, 8th tourney in last 9 weeks
Calc 47, gasping for air
Austin 43

Rose to win 25-1 SIA 1 regular unit.

I'm going to go get my match-ups right now. WSX just put them up, finally. Thanks WSX for your prompt attention. It's only less than 24 hours before tee-off. Sheesh. More later, GLAA, Tommy

Well, that strategy didn't work worth shit. 0-4, match-ups. But what a week!

I didn't post this play because it involved too much typing, but I hit it, for real. A three guy parlay. Here's how it went. Group betting, groups of 5 players for the whole tournament. Rose over 4 guys, with Sabbatini over 4 guys, with Garcia over 4 guys---Pays 129.90 to 1. The biggest payout of my life. This was so off the wall, I didn't even write down the opponents names.

This one hit got me to less than a 100 bucks loser for the year. Now I can realistically make a push for another plus year. I'm 3 out of 4 years, going for 4 out of 5. The Tour Championship last year, bailed me out, and it very well might do it again. Unbelievable.

I believe Tiger is the best golfer to ever play the game. He makes it look so easy. He's just 1 or 2 shots a round better than everyone else. Consistantly.

We only have 2 or 3 real tournys left in '07, and some gimmick bullshit. Next year, I need more and better outs. I'm going to bear down and get 5Dimes and a couple more. Who, I don't know. Losing Pinny really took the air out of my balloon. That's enough. Tommy.
