Default Buick Invitational-Torrey Pines, San Diego>>

The Andy Williams San Diego Open is now one of abou 100 Buick titles.

Tiger, Vijay and Phil? are the favorites. The outrights this week may be slim, because I would think this is a Tiger Show all the way and not going to buck Vijay in his current form and think Phil may be tough in his home town.

I sure like the way Phil is swinging the driver. Which was his short coming last year. This year he looks like he is balance and staying down and (almost under) through the shot. Looks a lot better. I look for him to have a fantastic year.

I will probably play these outrights either to show or top 5 or something will update odds when I figure this out:

Allenby
Bjorn
Choi

Petersson finished second to tiger last year by 4 shots. Will be interested in seeing how he plays this week.

buzz hope you dont mind me putting my stuff here.
if you do let me know

i like your selections and i played the following
SD Golf
This tournament the key stats have been putting and scrambling the last 3 years. This is difficult to understand considering the length of the south course where 3 rounds are played being over 7600 yards. This being the case I am playing the following.
All were numbers at pinnacle.

Riley over Campbell even money for 1.25 units.
Riley ranks 12th in putting and 4th in scrambling while Campbell ranks 76th in putting and 115th in scrambling.
I have been on Campbell this year and his ball striking is at the level he was last year but the putter seems to have deserted him.
Campbell has played once here and missed cut while Riley has 4 starts with results of 15,mc 56,34.
Not stellar by any stretch but Riley has finishes this year of 20,9,and 33 while Campbell has a 15th in a limited field and mc, 56,and 39 in full field events. The price to me looks based on last years play and not current form.

Crane over Kendall -20 for 1.25 units
I am not sold on Kendall. He had a great tournament at the Hope but has 2 other missed cuts. In addition, he has 2 missed cuts here in last 3 starts. Crane has 4 stats this year with finishes of 9,31,5 and m/c. Here he has played twice with finishes of 22 and 13. This is to me a player that will have a solid year vs. a guy trying to find his game.

Hass over Tway -25 for.75 unit
I have a great deal of respect for Hass's game. Hass ranks 12th in putting and 14th in scrambling vs. Tway at 60th in putting and 71st in scrambling. . Tway of to a fair start but cant see him beating Hass this week.

Allenby over Howell -05 for .5 unit
Strictly, a form play and Allenby has been playing better.
Howell is off to average start and certainly not playing now at level he can

YTD total 4-8-1 -4.775 units
Daily 6-7-1 +1.1575 units

Good Luck

Going with some bombers again. Well two of my four

The two traditional plays are Kaye and Choi to win.

The bombers are Byrd and Baddeley (both+12000)

Will see what develops after round one

With you on Choi Buzz.

Phil has been great so far. Glad to see it. I like seeing new guys win, but at the same time things will be real exciting all year with VJ, Phil and Tiger battling it out.

Anyone know when/if Duval returns?

I played at Pinnacle:

Tiger +275 v. the field.

Will be back for more.

Seaurchin- you are always welcome to post your stuff here. I am fan of yours. Love the Allenby play.

How about this angle guys: Darren Clarke looks like he has lost about 20 pounds and is in great shape. I think he may struggle to his new body shape and looking to play both Appleby and Allenby against him in match ups. Opinions please.

Buzz, I saw Clarke a few weeks ago and was impressed by his weight loss. BJ has lost weight and so has Phil. All due to Tiger. Thats what he is so great for the rest of them. He drives them to get better.

Anyway, I dont have it in front of me but the tourney I saw he played well on (Clarke). Not sure if the weight will be an adverse issue. Could easily lose to Allenby or Appleby even if he plays well since those two are so good themselves.

good angle buzz
i have heard he likes a drink as much as the next guy and nothing puts on pounds as quick as booze.
imo he does not have the drive to be the best as i think tiger and sing have. it seems that sing is on a <mission> to be ranked higher than tiger.
and its obvvious what kind of dedication woods has.
anyway i didnt like applebys play last week and would like to see a t least another week before i go on or against him

i do like allenby though

and added it with my local for 1/2 unit

valueman- I like that bet. I think Tiger proves who is number 1 in the world. Tiger played good in Hawaii and if he feels spurned or upset I like his chances- see Western Open.

Phil home course and he wins this event even when he isn't driving the ball straight.
