Default The Memorial>>>>

Great field goes postward tomorrow. Course is very difficult and Jack Nicklaus (the designer) made some changes to no. 17 to make sure the final two holes are as tough as they get.

My current form chart shows good tournaments from: Kenny Perry (Ohio State guy so should know the layout), Justin Leonard ( though may try to play against him, though he likes this course) Robert Allenby and Vijay Singh.

Course form has to be Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk and Mike Weir all of whom figure in this spot.

I would tred lightly and try to beat Tiger with: Robert Allenby, Vijay Singh, Mike Weir, Jim Furyk and Retief Goosen. (1 units each).

I will take a look at some match ups and post them later.

On the match ups from Pinnacle I would like to take a shot against Tiger with Vijay. But betting against Tiger typically doesn't get the rent paid so I will pass.

I am taking the following 72 hole match ups:

K. Perry -115 v. Scott Verplank
Adam Scott -118 v. Calcavechia (he is injured, now has hurt his wrist)
Chad Campbell (Yeah I know swamp) -105 v. Rocco Mediate
R. Allenby +102 v. Justin Leonard
R. Goosen +108 v. Padraig Harrington

I am looking for match ups involving T. Immelman who lost a playoff and has to travel over to the US. I would like to play against him if anyone can find one.

Wager Id Outcome Strokes Money Line
9023 TREVOR IMMELMAN -110 Wager
9024 K.J. CHOI -110 Wager

Buzz,

One thing I've noticed over the years....You would think when I guy loses a tough playoff, or is in contention on Sunday and blows it, that they would come out flat the following week. I don't have any data to back this up, but I know I've lost a lot of money playing against that type of player. I used to play against them in round 1 matchups, but it seemed like I lost a lot more than I won. Maybe the fact that they were in contention in the first place indicates that their game is on, and they are able to play well at least for 1 round, without any pressure. I would think the travel factor would be a totally different factor though.

Just my .02

Not sure how you have Choi rated but -110 doesn't seem too bad if you really don't like T. Imm....

Has WSEX always had .20 cent lines, it looks like it bumps up at -130 though.

Good Luck

Hey Buzz, what a start for scoring at the Memorial, 42 guys at 70 or better. Wow!! Are these guys good or what? Grier has the Shockers in 14th heading into tom. final rd. at NCAA, it will be their best showing since 1978 in the NCAA's!! You might know some of the guys from that squad, back in our younger days!

I think those WSU golf teams in the 70's were some of the best teams in history. In their prime they would have competed with this years Okie State team, which probably has three future tour players on it. Mike Holder must be on the selection committee by being able to play at home, its a little bit like a Roy Williams deal.

For those of you who don't know toto was on several NCAA golf teams that did very well. He turned professional and had a couple of attempts at Tour School and on mini tours. If the format of the tour was like it was today he would have made it. They didn't have the Nationwide tour or anything like that and the money wasn't that great. He made more money than most on the calcutta circuit and on the "West Texas Popcorn Tour."

Toto- Shocker baseball- do they have a chance in the Houston regional. Olympic has them +300 to win the regional, not bad for a 3 seed. If they get pitching they might be there.

Had a decent week. Thought Kenny Perry would play well but didn't think he would get two in a row. I think Tiger is not in good form and I am going to try to beat him when he has these big layoffs.

Charles Howell shoots 74, 77, 75 after the first day lead. The 77 wasn't bad considering the conditions but the 75 on the final day is unacceptable.

Padraig Harrington was very competitive and I am going to predict he is going to be a factor in the US Open.

Olazabel takes 10th look out. Wish Railbird posted here because he could tell us more about his psyche.

Jerry Kelly good tournament but an 84 in the 3rd really put him in deep.

Justin Leonard never seems to give up, unlike some of these stars do
