i had heard from some old timers that the reasoning is 2fold:
team that won gm1, is more likely to rest some players under the right conditions
and the team, preferably home, that lost game is more motivated -- likewise the team that won, has a bit of an emotional letdown
not sure they statistically valid, but those were two reasons i had heard of in the past |
