I was told today by someone who is quite knowledgeable of sportsbooks that watchdog agencies are not really watchdog agencies. The example he cited was that with OSGA. Supposedly, if just about any sportsbook agrees to pay them $1500 a month they will put that sportsbook on their approved list of sportsbooks.

Does anyone have any comments in this regard?

For a poster thrice over -- your pretty sharp.

I love this site and think highly of Russ and Freddie, but at the end of the day, its all about the Benjamins...

They offer a great service to the small player with their "secured" offering -- a refund of up to $500 if one of their books stiffs you.

Still, its all commerce, and anyone that tells you different is either lying or in denial.

"Lapdog"?? --- maybe.

"Watchdog?? -- never...

P.S. The fact that this site is commerce driven is a VERY GOOD THING. One thing we don't need is some non-profit, Socialist Organization looking out for the "Common Good" of the "people"...

Government Regulation??? Quit Jammin' me....
