It's a shame that the tabloids turned the murder of a little girl into their own personal *news* bonanza. They played up on the "freakishness" aspect of a baby Barbie doll girl and the parents who molded her that way, which automatically made people think there was something a bit "off" about them. Can't say as I ever followed the case at all, though it was hard to avoid checkout counters screaming the latest, and always (I think?) displaying the "pin up" baby beauty queen photo's. JMO
