Default Horse racing industry tries to keep up

What the Horse Racing Industry fails to understand are gamblers. Gamblers want more types of HORSE BETS offered. They want to GAMBLE. The industry on the other hand sees their sport as entertainment. These are VASTLY different views. The mentality of a slot player only doesn't appeal to me and I don't think to most handicappers/gamblers. What does appeal to me and the people at the Offshore places understand is HORSE MATCHUP BETTING. This would be easy for the racing industry to implement and draw more GAMBLERS which would help their bottom line. But again they come back to the same old tired approach---lets have slots.
Give me a break.
Think outside the box...Offer horse matchups; offer betting on odd and even even numbers, etc. (would appeal to roulette players and other).

Hope they wake up soon.
