RE: Harrah's uses science to lure gamblers "Harrah's says it doesn't know its customers' incomes. It says it deliberately doesn't try to find out for fear of being accused of preying on people who can't afford to gamble."
This is a great quote. On any given day how many people in all the casinos in the country can't really afford to be there?
80%?
They absolutley prey on the people through the information they collect on them, but they don't want to know their income?
The real problem is that if Harrahs knew how much their customers lost gambling AND how much their customers made per year, Harrahs might lose out to their conscience. They might be accused of preying on people who can't afford to gamble? DUH, it's how the business works. |
