The worst call I've EVER seen was in the first qtr of the Jags-Texans game.

4th and short. David Carr takes the snap and tries to stick the ball out across the line for the first down. He gets drilled by a linebacker and the ball pops out. Jax ball.

The refs rule his forward progress was stopped. No one had even touched him until the hit. He wasn't surrounded on all sides by a group of would be tacklers either.

What happened was that Carr's behavior was like it was a goal line play. He stuck the ball out as if to "cross the plane" , then he just stood there until he was drilled. I doubt a single person out of the millions watching thought the Texans were going to get the ball back.
