Wie pulls out of event in Danville, days after finishing 27th at P&G Tourney - Blames School/Scheduling Conflict

More than a month after signing up for next week's LPGA event in Danville, Michelle Wie reversed fields Monday and notified tournament officials she will not play, after all.

"While I was excited about playing in the CVS/pharmacy Challenge, a scheduling conflict with my return to Stanford unfortunately will not allow me to be there," Wie said in a prepared statement. "I wish everyone there a great tournament and will look forward to getting back to the event in the future."
