...Ultimate Bet Scandals...By Hartley Henderson
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, hoping to refute claims that it has not taken the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet cheating incidents seriously is set to make a press release today with some of its key findings.
The release states that the KGC's investigation indicates that the cheating at Absolute Poker was not conducted by the directors or owners of the company itself and that no one at Absolute Poker benefited from the cheating which was initiated by a 3rd party software tester. Nevertheless, KGC has issued 24 specific directives to management of Absolute Poker to improve the security of its systems. As well, all people affected by the cheating were ordered to be fully reimbursed.
The release also states that a thorough investigation is currently taking place with Absolute Poker's sister company, Ultimate Bet, to identify the issues surrounding cheating at that site's poker tournaments. Full details related to Ultimate Bet will be released in the near future.
The full press release will be reprinted at MajorWager when it is released by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
