It's funny, I spoke with a friend last night who said that Heath's performance was amazing and made the title character seem like a supporting actor, and the movie review I just read agreed. They disagreed sharply on the love interest, however: my friend couldn't remember the name of the replacement for Katie Holmes, but said it was a big mistake in replacing her. The review said the replacement, Maggie-long-name-that-starts-with-a-G was much more convincing than Mrs. Cruise. All I know about her is that has kind of a weird face and I saw her in some movie where she played a felonious single mother with the saggiest boobs in the history of cinema. Did she seem right for the role? I enjoyed the first one and like Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldham (understated, for a change) in their small but important supporting roles, but I won't see it in a theater for a long time, if ever-I can't stand crowds, either.
