that'd be my first thought. hell, i have one on the back porch because the wind here is always bringing lines down.
just the same, sounds like she was getting too weak to want to continue living. at least she died with family.
personally, i'm dead set against keeping people alive that're in situations like that. it kills me to see my mom every day with no legs, and confined to a bed 24/7. she deals with it but she'd rather be dead ....
