Nice writeup Hartley!
In my opinion, the best way to bet Nascar is the driver head-to-head matchup for the race, and driver finishing position props for the race. You have a better chance at finding a handicapping edge in these type of wagers.
Last season there were about 40 to 50 matchups (that I could find) availible and usually 8 finishing props every sunday morning.
This will be my 6th season gambling on Nascar and the strategy that I've used is to FLAT BET several, 10 to 30, matchups and props spread out over several different drivers each race.
DO NOT load up on 1 driver! You will get burnt doing this. Spread your bets out among several different drivers. Don't let 1 flat tire or crash ruin your week.
Stay away from the group bets where you get juicy odds to beat 4 other drivers. These are sucker bets in my opinion.
Tape the race! There are 14 tracks that have 2 races a year. On the 2nd trip to a track, go back and watch the 1st race there before you do any wagering.
Nascar is a great sport to gamble on!!! BOOGITY! BOOGITY! BOOGITY! LETS GO RACIN BOYS!!! |
