Ron Paul is actually a Libertarian. He registered Republican because he knew he wouldn't get any face time as a Libertarian. He's right, of course. Raise your hand if you've ever heard of Harry Brown.
None or practically none of what Paul advocates would actually get done. It takes a long time to turn an oceanliner around.
Ron Paul's fiscal issues are essentially correct. Whether it takes 5 years or 50 years, they will come to pass. Fiat currency and inflation will not bankrupt the country, but it will bankrupt every citizen. I used to think that was terrible, now I think it might not be so bad. It sure as hell would create sweeping changes.
I'm going to waste my vote on Ron Paul. I've been wasting my vote for the last 20 or so years now. |
