Pachuca might be the best team in North American history. Big fish in a small pond, true, but they also did win the Copa Sudamericana. They deserved this win over Chivas because they had two goals wrongly disallowed for offsides last week, and they pretty much outplayed them last night, too. This is a classic case of an exciting 0-0 game.
Last years win over Chivas for the Mexican title was even more dramatic.
I own an apartment building outside of Pachuca and plan to retire there one day (it's my wife's home town). Pachuca's kind of a secret city in Mexico. Very nice place. I'm looking forward to being the old gringo at home games. |
