Documentary was excellent.
Example...one of the more intelligent comments:
Robert Dupont: Policy advisor to President Nixon.
“Marijuana is a hybrid having features like LSD,
it also doesn’t produce physical dependency and it doesn’t produce overdose death. And the fact that it doesn’t do these two things makes it seem like it’s not an ‘addictive-drug.’
It has an appeal to people who are smart
and who are interested in going beyond the conventional boundaries of their behavior.”
Harry J. Anslinger was the man behind outlawing the weed Marijuana …he was a snoop (investigator for the Pennsylvania Railroad) who save his company 50-dimes from a fraudulent accident claim which promoted him to police captain of the railroad.
An instant dick, Harry worked for various military and police organizations taking him through Germany, Venezuela and Japan with a focus on stopping international narco-trafficking trade and is accredited for American and International drug policies.
He became an assistant Commissioner in the US Bureau of Prohibition at a time when corruption and scandal gripped Prohibition and Narcotics agencies. Anslinger’s reputation was known as an honest and incorruptible figure

and was appointed in 1930 to the newly-created FBN (Federal Bureau of Narcotics) as its first commissioner.
In order to preserve the newly found Bureau thus, himself, Harry began a propagandist campaign against Marijuana to build a public perception for support based on deception and lies absent of evidence.
Very interesting, think I'll watch it again...
