Neteller is doing NOTHING as far as I know to prevent this from happening again. When on the phone they pretend like it's not a wide-ranging situation when we all know it is. How many accounts have been accessed with this $10 request for 10bet? Must be in the hundreds.
It's been more than 24 hours and I have not received an answer to any of my numerous e-mails to them, including at least 3-4 to the vip e-mail and 2 to
investigations@neteller.com.
The worst thing is that I was in front of my computer when the first scam withdrawal was made ($10 to 10bet). I immediately went into my account to see what was going on, I e-mailed back Neteller after I received the notice about the withdrawal, and I called them. If they had promptly handled my e-mail or if they had answered the phone (1-403 number or 1-888 number), they would have had time to lock my account before the next withdrawal was made ($500) about 20 minutes later.
I consider myself very lucky because less than one month ago I had several thousands in my Neteller account so $500 and change was what I would consider a low balance. Which got me thinking, let's say I had $6000 in my account yesterday. I would have seen $10 go, then $1000, then ... and see my account being scammed in front of me live, without being able to do anything about it because they don't answer the phone? What a joke this place has become.
If I had the vip phone number (1-877) earlier I guess someone would have picked up the phone, but I almost never contact Neteller, let alone for urgent matters, that I never needed to get a hold of any phone number besides those listed on their website.
