i smoke, but, i have hardly ever smoked in public places, with the exception of bars...even then, i still try to avoid smoking around anyone who isn't smoking as well.
to be honest, i don't mind most of the bannings... and i think designated areas are fine.
the only time i can recall being annoyed by 'non-smoking' rules, was recently at a hospital.. i went outside, looked and looked for the designated area, found out smoking was pretty much banned on the entire grounds.
to me, that was a bit much...i wound up having to walk all the way to the friggin parking lot, and even there it was supposedly "banned", but, i wasn't all that concerned about some dipshit hospital security gaurd...normally, i would have just said screw it, but, by that time, i had covered the damn hospital grounds, and wasn't going back defeated.
