MAGIC UPDATE: The Magic face the Raptors on a back-to-back after losing 112-100 to the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Tuesday night. The Raptors and the Magic have split their previous two games, each club winning on the other team's court. Orlando lost at home 87-86 Nov. 28 in a down-the-stretch shootout between distant cousins Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter. The Magic won 104-93 at Toronto on Dec. 21, as McGrady scored 29 and Drew Gooden had 14 rebounds. McGrady scored 34 points in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
RAPTORS UPDATE: Heading into Tuesday night's game against Philadelphia, the Raptors were in a terrible funk, losing nine of their past 12 games. But they defeated the 76ers 93-80, with Carter pouring in 33 points. Toronto has played six overtime games, winning four, including a double-overtime victory against the Houston Rockets. . . . After a couple of injury-plagued seasons, Carter is back to form, averaging 21 points per game. Always a popular player, he received the most votes (2,127,183) in all-star balloting.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR: What else? Another family shootout between Vince and T-Mac. There should plenty of offense in this game.
