Jimmy Johnson is going to try like hell to move through the field ASAP tomorrow. He wants that LOWES chevrolet running up front at LOWES motor speedway. It must be a nightmare for Lowes VIP's when it looks like Tony Stewart could win the races at this track every year. The Gibbs teams have looked incredible in practice and are starting 6th and 11th. JJ has his work cut out for him but the two points races here are his most important all season.
A strong chance of rain could end this one early. That uncertainty always favors the underdogs especially in win bets. It has also made me factor in starting position and Saturdays practice results slightly more than I would usually in the coke 600.

Saw a week or so ago where Nascar.com showed the amount of laps run in practice by each of the top 20 or so cars and the average lap speeds in addition to the standard fastest lap time. Was wondering if there are any sites which commonly have this info after happy hour or is this archived in trackpass on Nascar.com? Anybody else see any positive correlation in average lap speeds in practices and race results? |
