Two people tried to cheat at roulette Monday at Mohegan Sun, state police said. Jose M. Pena-Reyes, 36, of 88-35 161st St. 1E in Jamaica, N.Y., and Estanislao Mella, 43, of 165 Audubon Ave. in New York were charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and cheating while lawfully gambling. Police said they attempted to exchange nongaming roulette chips with chips of the same color in an effort to cash them in. Both were freed on $1,000 bail and are scheduled to appear Oct. 30 in Norwich Superior Court.
