Hell if SIA can do that, I am sure The Olympic can too?:) Thanks for participating tonight!!

Betting Exchanges will always be problematic for US sports because our juice is so low already. Betfair is the most successful exchange, and they charge 5%. None of us would put up with even half that in effective juice. MLB, for a shopper, is already close to 0% juice.

1. Have you noticed any decrease in volume of customers as a result of the new / proposed US laws, and/or as a result of the newfound difficulty of transferring money to offshore books ? This is one of my biggest concerns with respect to the industry as a whole, moreso even than bonuses. 2. Roughly, what percentage of your players fund their accounts with Neteller, and has this percentage increased over the last year ?

Hello Spiros,
Thanks for taking the time with us.
My first question relates to the kind of character that many
of the offshore book owners possess. We hear stories all the time about illicit
monies being used to fund sportbooks, stories about owners with shady histories
(aside from the whole gambling/USA issue), massive monies being spent on other
activities- drugs, booze, women (not that there's anything wrong with that- as
long as it not post up money- which it seems to be far too often).
What I want to know from you is simple. I want the name of
2-3 books that you know have owners who are solid as can be, who made their
money through legal ventures, who are businessmen and not party animals, who
run a tight ship and who know how to take care of the bottom line.
In short, I'm saying that from a business plan perspective I can almost always tell how a book is doing but I know very little about the men behind the books. So, if you could help us out and give us the 2-3 names that you respect in this industr

Hi Spiro. My question is what is the amount of the biggest single parlay won at Olympic? And how much was bet and how many teams? I want to know the number I have to beat. :-) Also, as a bonus. What is the biggest single parlay won at ANY online sportsbook EVER?

Spiros, I love all the props that you offer. Some books hate it when you bet their props. Do you still make enough money, or at least break even with your prop offerings to never consider not offering them anymore? The props make your book unique, and hopefully they will always be a staple at your sportsbook.

Wagerstreet Bob, first let me say that I admire some things about your shop. But I disagree with limit cuts. Sharp bettors are not your enemy. If I ran a book, I'd have a program which tracked my player's EV, and then figured that into the calculation for balancing my action. Sharp players could be your goldmine. But also, I think too many books assume that just because someone's been winning that they're sharp, and not merely a fish on a heater. However, inasmuch as I'd want to control some player's actions, it would be the steamchasers. But I wouldn't boot them. Simply keep smaller limits, but allow re-hits. I just find booting or cripple-limiting to be in poor form. If bookies want their players to have some gambler's honor, they should have some themselves.
