There was a time when Don Best received the wiseguy plays before the public, but that is not the case any longer. Today, a Steam Play is sent out when our office sees a major line move happening. DBS2K users can get the same info using our Major Line Move alert system.

Our first goal is to build up the Don Best site to be the ultimate sports information destination. It kills me to see people log into our service and then go to a site like covers to do their handicapping. We will also be making some strategic partnerships (MajorStats) with sites to provide them with unique content. The prior DB ownership was not interested in spending money on marketing our site, so that will be another area we will attack. But overall, we will be just doing more of the same.

We have quite a few customers that drop off after basketball. The Express Odds service is a great alternative. It gives you all of the same info, with a small delay.

i was always under the understanding that books on the screen are supposed to honor the line shown at the time of the call yet repeatedly books move the number when called and a line is brought to the attention that is a good number for the player.isnt that against the rules of what donbest established before allowing a book to be on their screen?it cheapens the service and makes many wonder why it is worth paying for if there is no accuracy of numbers.i have called repeatedly and been promised change but never delivered.

This is our most common complaint. We are cracking down on this and you should see a vast improvement starting immediately. We have taken a passive approach in the past, but just last week, called the books and told them that their lines had to be accurate. We have monitored them since last week, and not seen any problems.

Not to piss off Mike… There are multiple factors. Our technology is far superior to what others have tried. We have direct connection with the sportsbooks and they push their changes to us, which is much faster than pulling an xml feed. We have a staff of over 25 employees researching and monitoring all events and players. And then something they just don’t have and that is our 15 years of experience.

Look at the post on the forum, there is a link to an article explaining what happen. Basically two providers got into a fight and blocked each others traffic, so some people are not able to get to some sites.
